Another attractive
side to La Source's location is the easy access to a great variety
of beautiful sites. There are many nearby lakes, rivers and waterfalls,
which do not need particular hiking skills to reach, such as the
Lac d'Oo on the road to Luchon, the Lacs de Bastan in the Parc
de Neouvielle, or simply the Gourgue d'Asque which is within walking
distance of the farm.
In late summer or early
fall, one can walk up the bed of the Rio Yaga in Spain's famous
Ordesa National Park, one and a half hours away, and swim in stunning
natural turquoise pools

One can also hike in
the hills and mountains, go off for a night sleeping in shepards
huts, or take simple walks in the surrounding villages and visit
the famers to buy fresh eggs or goat and sheep cheeses. In winter
one can partake in any snow sport in the various ski resorts which
are open from Christmas to summer. One often needs to bring chains
to access the resorts.
